BULAWAYO WATER AND SEWERAGE SERVICES IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
INTERNSHIP ATTACHMENT
The Government of Zimbabwe (GoZ) has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) towards the cost of the Bulawayo Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Project.
In an effort to contribute in creating Jobs for Youth and Equipping Youth with skills, the Bulawayo City Council announces internship opportunities for attachment with the BWSSIP project. The project shall support up to six internship positions. These internship positions are meant to equip and provide youth, at least 50% of whom will be women, with exposure to professional level skills. The interns will be paid a small compensation on a monthly basis according to Government rules.
The Bulawayo City Council now invites recent graduates from universities or institutions of higher learning, with no meaningful employment to date, to indicate their interest in participating in the internship program in the following fields, civil engineering (2) two, Electro-Mechanical (1) one, Procurement (1) one, Finance (1) one and Social Sciences (1) one. The internship shall run for a period of 12 months per individual.
Interested candidates must send their statement of interest along with their proof of education qualification highlighting area of preference and letter of recommendation and references.
Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below no later than 15 November, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. and must specifically mention “Expression of Interest for Internship Attachments”.
