The section implements rewards and recognition management systems, procedures and controls in council with special focus on the planning, management and processing of the payroll. Production of trend remuneration accounting schedules and financial impact analysis reports are resident in this section.
The section reconciles Local Authority Pension Fund (LAPF) and National Social Security Authority (NSSA) returns and prepares payment vouchers for the processing of the respective monthly contributions and payments to members. Preparation and processing of payment vouchers for burial assistance, insurance claims and school fess refunds are done in this section.
The Section manages the Bulawayo Municipal Medical Aid Society. The section reviews the Medical Aid Society regulations and advises on the new trends in the changes affecting the Medical Aid Societies in the country. The development of key Medical Aid reports, payment of service providers and the management of the Group Cover of insurance portfolio are some of the key functions of the section.
