The City of Bulawayo would like to advise members of the public and stakeholders that the City will be carrying out surveys on the Local Subject Plan No. 18 comprising of the Northern Portion of the Central Business District [From 3rd Avenue to Beit Avenue and from Selous Avenue and East court Avenue]. The survey will be conducted from Thursday, 26th October 2023 to Friday, 3rd November 2023.
The types of surveys to be carried out will be:
1. Door to door land use/household surveys and
2. Traffic count surveys along major routes in the study area.
This information will be used create a data base that will help the City to formulate a Local Subject Plan in terms of Section 17 of the Regional Town and Country Planning Act 29:12 of 1996 which will promote a harmonious and well-coordinated development within the study area.
Members of the public are advised that Municipal Staff and Students who will be conducting this exercise will be identifiable by a City of Bulawayo identification card or a stamped Council authorization letter. Sample below
